Our primary mission of Nakaseke Widows Association is to enhance the well-being of widows by providing them with essential resources, skills, and a supportive community network in Kasangombe Sub-County, Nakaseke District.

Our Services

Vocational Training Programs

We provide skill development courses in various fields, such as tailoring, agriculture, and small-scale entrepreneurship, enabling widows to acquire practical skills for income generation.

Economic Empowerment Initiatives

We have implementd income-generating projects, including microfinance support and cooperative ventures, to empower widows economically and enhance their financial independence.

Health & Well-Being Programs

We organize health camps, awareness campaigns, and access to healthcare resources, promoting the overall well-being of widows by addressing both physical and mental health needs.

Community Development Projects

We engage with the broader community, the organization initiates and supports development projects that benefit not only widows but also contribute to the overall well-being and sustainability of the community.

Support Groups & Counseling

We recognize the emotional challenges of widowhood, the association offers support groups and counseling services to provide a safe space for widows to share experiences, seek guidance, and receive emotional support.

Educational Support

We facilitate access to education for widows' children by offering scholarship programs, school supplies, and educational workshops, ensuring that widows can invest in the academic success of their families.

Networking & Collaboration

We actively collaborate with local authorities, businesses, and other non-governmental organizations to create a supportive ecosystem for widows. Networking efforts aim to broaden the impact of the organization and facilitate additional resources for its beneficiaries.

Capacity Building Workshops

Emergency Relief Assistance

Our Projects

Projects undertaken by Nakaseke Widows Association

Agripreneurship Initiative

The organization launched an agri-preneurship project to empower widows with agricultural skills. This includes training in sustainable farming practices, provision of seeds and tools, and establishing cooperative farming ventures to enhance both food security and income generation.

Tailoring Cooperative

Nakaseke Widows Association initiated a tailoring cooperative project, providing widows with sewing machines, training in tailoring skills, and access to markets for their products. This project aims to create a sustainable source of income for widows skilled in the art of tailoring.

Microfinance & Savings Program

To foster economic independence, the association implemented a microfinance and savings program. This project provides widows with financial literacy training, access to small loans, and encourages savings habits, empowering them to start or expand their own small businesses.

Children's Education Fund

Recognizing the importance of education, the organization established a Children's Education Fund. This project provides scholarships, school supplies, and educational support to widows' children, ensuring they have the opportunity to pursue their academic goals.

Health Outreach Campaigns

Nakaseke Widows Association conducts health outreach campaigns, organizing mobile health clinics, awareness programs, and providing basic healthcare resources to widows and their families. This project addresses both preventive and immediate health needs within the community.

Empowerment Workshops

The organization organizes empowerment workshops covering topics such as financial management, leadership skills, and entrepreneurship. These workshops aim to build the capacity of widows, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for personal and professional growth.
